The reconstructed and newly equipped chemotherapy ward of the sub-specialized hospital of the Petroleum Industry Health Organization (PIHO) has been inaugurated.
The ceremony was held in the presence of the first deputy minister of petroleum, chairman of PIHO, CEO of PIHO and a group of senior officials from the PIHO Tehran branch.
Habibollah Samie, CEO of PIHO, referred to the significance of performance and activities of PIHO with regard to the objectives of petroleum industry in the country, saying: "This facility is providing healthcare services to the petroleum industry employees on a large scale and is responsible for serving all petroleum industry staff."
"Our most significant policy is underlining the issue of staff's health and bracing for prevention instead of treatment," he added.
Samie said PIHO's objective was to provide suitable services under proper conditions.
"Due to the special conditions of chemotherapy patients re-opening this facility which has 70 clients per month with only 9 beds is of paramount significance," he added.
The first deputy minister of petroleum along with CEO of PIHO visited patients hospitalized in different wards of the hospital and talked to them about the quality of service providing to them.
The patients expressed happiness with the treatment they received from PIHO hospital staff.
